Family Visit

Taylor, Emma, Olivia, Madison, Rilee and Ella

Ella and Taylor hanging out with their Aunt Becky watching a movie.
Olivia and Emma reading a bedtime story

Last weekend, my sister Becky, her daughter-in-law, Shelley and girls, Madison and Rilee and my niece Olivia came for a visit. You talk about a house full of girls. It was GREAT fun! They got in Friday afternoon and we just hung around all evening and had pizza and watched movies. Taylor had a few birthday parties on Saturday so that gave Emma & Ella some time to play. We had mexican night with tacos and nachos for supper and then Sunday came too fast and it was already time to say good-bye. Posted by Picasa

Toledo FireFighters Musem

Friday, we went on a field trip with Sheila's Shining Stars Preschool. We went to the Toledo Firefighter's Museum. It was great but sad that many people don't know about it....including me. And the best part....it is FREE! It is a non-profit organization run by volunteers and donated money. There are great displays for both kids and adults. The tour includes a great fire safety message and demonstration for children. There is a kid's bedroom setup that is used with simulated smoke, a smoke detector and demonstrations on how children should react and get out of fire situations. The girls loved it and were talking about what they should do in case of a fire the rest of the day. They also got a fire safety book and coloring book. Check it out....it's worth it!

SNOW, SNOW AND MORE SNOW

Ella catching snowflakes on her tounge. We finally have some snow worth measuring and our snow blower is at Nana's and Grandpa Jim's. You don't think about it until you need it. The girls had a 2 hour school delay on Monday and school was cancelled on Tuesday. I think we ended up with around 7 inches. I ended up shoveling the drive and thought the girls would like to play outside but Ella was the only one up for it. She was out over an hour with me. She loved clearing the snow off anything she could reach. She would make a snow pile at the end of her slide to land in. Champ even enjoys playing in the snow for awhile. Until his paws get cold. I don't think Taylor and Emma are going to be my outsiders. Posted by Picasa
