WE ARE 4!!!!

WOW....! Where has the time gone?! I can't believe that my babies are 4 years old. It seems so cliche to say that I can remember when they were born, but it truly does not seem like 4 years ago. They have changed so dramatically in the last year and have become so independent. I don't know if I'm ready for the years ahead.

Birthday Bash!

Emma's Tinkerbell cake
Ella's princess castle cake
Pinata fun

Saturday, Emma & Ella had their birthday party with family and friends. It was a great day! We could not have asked for better weather. The best surprise of the day.....Grandma B and Aunt Sues came to the party all the way from Illinois! This was a great surprise for me, as well as, the girls. We wish they could have stayed longer but we will be visiting them in July.

Messy faces after enjoying cake and ice cream cones.
Happy Birthday to you! Get ready to blow.
Dave & I got the girls a Little Tikes jump house for their birthday. We set it up during their nap on Saturday before their party so it would be a surprise to enjoy with their friends. It was a big hit!Posted by Picasa

BIG NEWS!!!!

This is Ella talking on the phone finding out that MiMi is coming to visit us for 2 weeks. WE CAN HARDLY WAIT! At least we have alot planned before we pick her up July 2nd. It helps to keep the girls busy so I don't hear "when is MiMi coming" every 10 minutes. We will be making a countdown calender soon. This helps the girls to visualize how long they have to wait.

Soccer

Well, we survived our first soccer season and I think this is the first of many. We, The Lions, had our last game on Saturday followed by a family picnic sponsored by the YMCA. Each player received a medal which was pretty cool. Our overall team definitely should have been awarded "most improved". It was great to see the kids confidence build with each week. We never did get Ella to play but I think next year will be big for them. Time will tell....!?!

Butterfly House Field Trip

Thursday, we took a fieldtrip with Emma & Ella's Shining Stars preschool class to a local butterfly house. It is so close to us, I can't believe we haven't gone before this. Many of the butterflies will land on you as one did on Ella's head. They kind of tickle so your first reaction is to shoo them off but I was ready with the camera for this one.Posted by Picasa

Butterfies

These are just a few of the hundreds of butterflies we saw during our field trip. The house has over 200 hundred butterflies of over 100 types. This is definitely a must see. http://www.butterfly-house.com/

Family Photo shoot

Last week, the girls all got haircuts. Tracy always curls their hair all fancy so we took advantage of the nice weather and went to Wildwood Metropark to take photos. We got so many great ones....these are just a few!

Memorial Day fun

What a busy weekend! It rained most of Saturday. Our soccer game was cancelled so we just hung around the house and ran family errands in the early evening. Sunday, we went to Calla's birthday party in Liberty Center. Monday, we were up bright and early for a sunny hot day. We watched Great Grandma and Grandpa walk in the parade and then we had a cook out. The girls were in no mood to nap when we got home and it was too nice to be inside so we tested out the new hopscotch sprinkler. What GREAT fun....even Champ enjoyed it.
