Grandma B's

We had a fun visit to Grandmas over the long weekend. Grandma B had horses in the field this time which the girls love. They are riding horses so they will come right to you when you walk to the fence. There were 2 which the girls named Pudding and Butterscotch.

Park time with Aunt Sues. It was a fairly warm but very windy day so we didn't stay out too long after our favorite trip to Roy's Taco House for lunch.
You have to ask....donkey basketball!?!? This is probably only well known in the mid-west where they play b-ball with donkeys. It is actually quite funny to watch. The only real rule of play is that you must be on your donkey to shoot a basket and score. The girls found it to be great entertainment...especially when they poop on the floor.

Field Trip

This field trip was GREAT! I'm so glad I got to enjoy the day with all the kids at Miss Sheila's. You have to check out the website: http://www.countrylanetreefarm.com/
This farm is a real working farm with every animal you can think of: pigs, chickens, duck, geese, rabbits, ponies, cows, llama, deer, donkey, etc....Everything is hands on so it is a very interactive learning environment. We enjoyed the farm tour, fed the animals, straw maze, hayride to the pumpkin patch, corn maze, barrel train ride, ate lunch, milked the cow and played at the playground.

Happy Halloween!

The girls had great fun this Halloween! It was a little different for each one. Ella lasted about 4 houses. She had much more fun on the front porch handing out the candy. Emma was all about getting the candy and lasted quite awhile with daddy. Taylor made a big haul this year with me, daddy and her friends Ashley and Tanner. She even had to empty her candy bucket for a refill. They each got to pick a few pieces to keep and the rest we donated to the troops at war. Taylor's school was taking candy collections to make baskets to be sent overseas.

Pumpkins & Parties

What a busy Halloween day! First, I spent the morning at Emma & Ella's school to help with the class party and hayride. Above: L to R Top Miss Sheila, Ella, Eva, Sophia, Emma, Carli, Reagan, Ashlyn and Sydney. Then, I moved on to Taylor's school in the afternoon to help with her costume parade and class party. Below.

Taylor during the school's costume parade. We were lucky enough to have nice weather so the parade could go outside. Each grade K - 4 parades through each others classroom and then outside around the school block. It took about 45 min but was great fun to watch all the kids and see the creative cute costume ideas. The school principle dressed as an old women with all the teachers as her children and dressed as babies or young kids.

The girls digging in the pumpkin goo. We only carved one pumpkin this year. The girls painted some smaller ones earlier and they carved big ones with Grandma & Grandpa Sharpe, too.

Mom's Birthday

Yes, I know the cake gives my age away.... Thanks Dave! The girls don't think it is a birthday without a cake, which Dave usually buys at the store. This year I wanted him and the girls to make one. This was the completed product after my return from the grocery store. I couldn't have gotten anything better.

Toothless Taylor

Taylor lost one top tooth. She has now lost 5 total (4 bottom and 1 up). She has 2 "windows" (open holes where the new tooth has not yet come in) as she calls them. I think the other top tooth will soon be out and she will be singing All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth!

Little Boo at the Zoo

This year Emma & Ella enjoyed the Toledo Zoo's halloween happenings with their friend Ashley. I wasn't as impressed as the past years but the girls had fun....that's what matters.
