Field Day

Monday was school field day for Taylor. It was a cool day but at least not raining. The kindergarten and first grade classes were divided into groups and participated in different activities. Taylor is doing the rock climbing wall in the school gym, shooting baskets (were I was located as a volunteer parent helper) and playing tether ball.

Patriotic Program

Taylor's school performs a kindergarten patriotic program every year. All the kindergarten classes perform together on stage singing songs like: The Grand Old Flag, Glod Bless The USA, Yankee Doodle, etc... She did a great job and had super fun.

Napping

This is where Ella decided to take her nap on Friday. After putting Emma & Ella down, I went to check on them and Emma was fast asleep in her bed and Ella must have thought the rocking chair was more comfortable that day. I ended up having to wake both of them up in the late afternoon.

Summer Fun

Everyone is enjoying a little fun in the sun! We have had some great warm and sunny days and some others cold, wet and windy. You never know until you wake up. The girls love to be outside. I know it will be a fun filled busy summer with outdoor activities. Ella now loves underdogs on the swing so she can go "super" high as she calls it. They are already asking to go swimming. We can't get Taylor to try her bike without training wheels yet. I took them off and said if she wanted to ride then go for it. She hasn't touched her bike since so dad put them back on. Ella decided she wanted a try before the training wheels went back on. If she was bigger, I'm sure she could do it.

Swimming

We are winding down our swim lessons for this year. We started back in February with our swim-float-swim http://www.infantswim.com/ and now the girls have been working on their back stroke. Taylor has also started her side stroke and front crawl. This will come next year for Emma & Ella. Ella is still our fish....she loves the water. Emma could take it or leave it but she doesn't complain at lessons. Taylor is building her confidence. She loves to swim with Miss Cindy but it is different in the water with mom & dad. I think they will all have great fun swimming this summer!

Soccer Update

Sorry I don't have photos. Of course, I don't have my camera at the best game the girls have played. I will take some at Saturday's game. Emma scored her first goal! I don't know what was different this week, but Emma and Taylor played GREAT and had FUN! They were both on the field for the whole game. We have given up on Ella. She says she wants to play T-ball....maybe next year.
