Party Time

My girlfriend's daughter, Toree, had her 6th birthday party on Saturday. It turned out to be a beautiful night for roasting hot dogs and smore's after a cold and rainy morning.

Emma just hanging out enjoying the birthday cake.
The girls played pin the lips on Troy (from High School Musical) while blind folded. It was quite funny for the girls to see mom do it. It was the only way to get them to participate.
Ella roasting marshmallows with Kathy (Tracey's mom, Toree's grandma).

Field Trip

Emma & Ella went pumpkin picking at the Pumpkin Peddler in Bowling Green with their preschool class. All the girls, Sheila and I got to enjoy cider & donuts, a hayride and a pumpkin of chose (as long as the girls could carry it themself).

Apple Picking

We had great fun picking apples at MacQueens Orchard about 2 weeks ago. It was a perfect Sunday afternoon. We must have gone picking earlier last year because all the tree bottoms were bare this time. But....Taylor loved climbing the BIG tree ladders to get the very best top apples and throw them down to daddy . We got Jonathans, Ida Reds and McIntosh. Dave and I were actually surprised she climbed that high. You can see in the photo...it is fairly high up there and she had no hesitation heading for the top. Emma & Ella did find a few straglers along the bottom to keep them busy.

A, B, C, D...Apples, Butterflies, Cider and Doughnuts

L to R: Ella w/Miss Sheila, Sydney, Ashlyn, Reagan, Emma, Carli, Sophia and "big" Sydney
Emma & Ella went on a field trip to MacQueens Apple Orchardhttp://www.macqueenorchards.com/ with all their preschool friends. It definitely felt more like a summer day with temps in the 80s than a fall apple picking day but with no rain so I'm not complaining. The class got to pick 4 apples from the orchard, tour the cider mill and apple cooling/packing area, and have doughnuts and cider.

Emma & Ella and I spent a beautiful afternoon with our friends Heather and Ashley at the butterfly house with a picnic lunch at Oak Openings Metropark. With Taylor in school all day, we are trying to plan outings with Heather and Ashley on Thursdays.

Family Fun

L to R: Hope, Ella, Emma, Taylor and Calla
Emma getting her face painted. She had a smiley face on one cheek and an ice cream cone on the other.
Ella thinking about hula hooping. I don't think she ever really did try it.
Kids craft with Nana at the reunion

All in one weekend, we had a sleepover at our cousins house, Liberty Center fun day and the Mohler family reunion. It was a fun but exhausting time! The girls and mom slept over at Hope & Calla's house on Saturday after spending the day in downtown Liberty Center doing face painting, bounce houses, lunch and games. We then got up Sunday for a church service and family reunion all at the Mohler shelter house. They had the best turn out yet....over 80 family members.

Cheerleading

This is Taylor and her friend, Ashley, that took a 2 day cheer clinic through the school. They were long but fun evenings. She chose not to cheer at the football game that they could participate in. She claims not to like cheering but I guess time will tell.
