Niabi Zoo

Ella hanging out with her monkey friends.

The girls only wanted to watch in the bird house. Taylor wouldn't even come in. You got nectar cups to feed the birds with. Many of them would land on your arm at once. That was a little to close for comfort for me.

Pool Party

We had a great day of swimming at Aunt Becky's on Sunday. The weather was perfect for us all week. Low 80s and sunny during the day and cool in the 50s at night. Taylor was too scared to go down the slide at first and then I couldn't get her off. She even wanted to stay an extra day just to swim and do the slide. Ella was a fish, as always, and I'm sure Emma was off sun bathing or socializing with someone.

Grandma B's

We had so much visit during our visit to Illinois this year! Each year gets easier to travel with the girls and easier to do more fun things. We first met, 18 of us, at a great waterpark in Rockford, IL. There were many waterslides which Taylor went down with me on a double raft but didn't care for it. We'll try again next year. There was a lazy river, wave pool and lots of shallow pools for the kids to have fun in which are the photos above.

High School Musical

Dave & I took Taylor to the High School Musical Concert Tour last Sunday in MI. She absolutely loved every second of it and it wasn't too bad for mom and dad either. It was great to watch Taylor enjoy it so much!

MiMi's Visit

MiMi and her girls....Taylor, Ella, Emma, Hope and Calla. The girls had a sleep over with their cousins last week to help out Tammy & Tom while JT was in the hospital. It was great fun and I think the start of many more to come.
MiMi with EVERY hair pretty in the house the girls could find. This is a regular event during MiMi's visits.
Playing with friends at the park...Ella, Taylor, Kylie, Reagan and Emma.

The Toledo Zoo. We spent alot of time with our friends Beth, Averie and Baylor during MiMi's visit. It was nice for her and great for the girls. We spent time shopping, swimming, zooing it and just hangin' out.

Hilton Head Island Vacation

The beautiful beach with the moon in the background.
The sunset at Shelter Cove Park/Marina where the have fireworks every Tuesday night.
The girls on the 18th hole of the "famous" golf course at the tip of the island where the Harbour Town lighthouse is. We all made it to the top of the lighthouse (114 steps) for the most amazing island view.

Baby JT is here!

John Thomas Merrill Oelkrug arrived on July 5th at 9:05 AM weighing in at 4lbs 11oz. This is the new addition for Dave's sister Tammy and Tom. Hope and Calla are very excited for their new "little" brother. Mom and JT are doing good. He was admitted to the NICU to watch his low blood sugar but is improving. I hope to have photos to share soon.

We Are Home!

Sorry....no pictures yet. They will come soon. I have to load them into the computer. I have LOTS of great photos to share! We made it home Sunday around noon. We drove over 9 hours on Saturday so we could get home at a decent time Sunday to get things around for the start of a new week. We had such a GREAT vacation! Hilton Head Island is a great place for a true vacation. I feel like I got some R&R....even with the kids. There is not much to do other than the pool and beach. We did make it out for a little shopping, putt-putt golf and some nice dinners. The kids had great fun. We are already talking about going back next year. Most people get around the island on bikes. You can rent them so we would probably do that and we heard the ocean dolphin cruises were pretty amazing.
The condo we rented was amazing. We would definitely stay here again. We had the 1st floor unit which was great. http://www.hiltonheadscvillas.com/
