Sauder Village

Last week Emma, Ella and I got to spend a great day with Nana at Sauder's Village
while Taylor was at Kalahari Waterpark with a friend. The weather was great and we spent the day in the village watching the broom makers, glass blowers, visiting the animal barns, old school house, doctors office, church and old farm house.

Park Pics

Wednesday afternoon the girls and I spent some time at Side Cut Metropark playing on the playground and walking in the river. It is sad because we desperately need rain but it makes the river so much fun when it is low. You can walk across it to the island and just have so much fun exploring.

Camping

We had our first annual campout at the shelter house which was super fun! It was great weather and the kids had a blast.

Our campsite...Daddy got a new tent for Father's Day. This was a little thinking ahead since we didn't own a tent and we knew the campout was coming up.
Waiting for face painting.
Obstacle course race.

Watch out Ella....here comes a water balloon!

S'mores...YUM!
Settling down for our "big screen" outdoor movie Hotel for Dogs. We hung a sheet and projected the movie from a laptop while enjoying popcorn and popsicles.

Butterfly House

Sheila, from Sheila's Shining Stars Preschool, where Emma & Ella previously attended was nice enough to ask the girls and I to go along on her field trip to the Butterfly House http://www.butterfly-house.com/. We normally visit the house and then have a picnic lunch in the gardens but it was a yucky, rainy, wet day so we spent some time at the house and then had our picnic lunch back in the classroom. This was nice, too because it gave the girls some time to play with their friends that they don't get to see too often.
