Random Updates....

Emma with Chloe the 9 foot python snake that she held during our visit to the African Wildlife Safari Park. Way to go Em!
The girls during a recent family outing to The Toledo Zoo.

Look mom....no training wheels! Ella has been riding with no training wheels since mid-August. We just took them off one day and she peddled away. Emma isn't quite ready yet but soon will be. I can definitely see getting new bikes for Emma & Ella's next birthday.

Best Friends!

I knew they would become best buds! Although Champ gets quite annoyed when Romo plays with his wagging tale and steals his favorite spot on the couch which has been Champs for 10 years. Their favorite game is hide & seek with Romo under our bed and Champ running around it trying to see where he will come out next...it is very entertaining.
Romo also THOUGHT he found a new sleeping place in the clean clothes basket. I couldn't find him one afternoon and he had decided to claim a new spot. He quickly found out that he needed to find a new sleeping place.

School Days

Emma & Ella had their first day of preschool at their new school (Monclova Christian Academy) http://www.monclovabaptist.org/MCA/html/main.html on September 3rd. They were very excited and there were no tears....from them anyway. They have already met many new friends including 2 other sets of twins in the class. There are 2 sets of girl/girl twins and 1 boy/boy. They have 2 great teachers: Mrs. Hummel and Mrs. O'Bradovic. The top 2 photos are actually the morning of september 3rd and they have their own cubbies for bookbags, coat, notes home, artwork, etc... The bottom 2 photos are from school open house. They are holding hands with their good friend Lydia and talking to Mrs. Hummel.

Catch of the day!

We wanted to do something different over the long Labor Day weekend so we got Grandpa Jim and Nana to take the girls fishing with
Aunt Tammy, Unlce Tom, Hope, Calla and JT. We have a great catch a release pond next to the river in Waterville that was great for all the kids. Ella had the first catch of the day....a little blue gill. She was happy with that and pretty much done for the day. Emma had the biggest catch of the day when she snagged a catfish. It took the help of daddy and Grandpa to get it lifted up without Emma going in. She was not impressed and said (I quote) "That is gross, I'm never fishing again'! Hope, on the other hand, thought it was great and wanted to touch it.

What 7 year old (almost 8) girl wants to go fishing? NOT THIS ONE! She did have great fun walking and playing in the river.

Emma holding one of the crabs caught by Grandpa Jim. He got 3 of them that they were going to put in the creek behind the shelter house. This will keep the girls busy looking for them while they are there.

Dave walking with Emma, Taylor and Hope in the muddy Maumee River. It is so low that they walked all the way across to the island at about ankle depth. We NEED rain!
